Introduction A robust understanding of statistics has become crucial in our data centric societies. In the school setting teaching is situated within mathematics curriculum U.S. However, many teachers often have little to no past experiences with before it. Given such circumstances, textbooks likely play a strong role influencing enact for students. this study, I investigate how discourse two common high textbook series form what actions are doing statistics. Methods For study used Foucauldian analysis inductively analyze texts they create. Results One main results was that very routinized/algorithmic nature.
